New Year’s Traditions

Wordsmith

Much like turning a new leaf, a new year is almost a second chance.

That’s why for my family, our tradition is to intertwine two Bible verses in everything we do.

Each year, I tape the verses on walls or mirrors, and we memorize two morsel of God’s word.

I find this not only encourages us, but it also sets a theme.

This year our theme is: Remember that God is bigger and better than man.

Psalm 121: 1-2 seemed the best to fit that bill.

God’s help is always better than man’s and we should always look to him first.

I hope that no matter what your goals and hopes are for 2020, that you too will be assured that God is bigger than all of your worries, obstacles and fears.

He is big enough to help you succeed and more importantly, he cares for you deeply.

My prayer is that everyone reading this, will also seek his help above all others.

Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he? Isaiah 2:22

May our incredible God help you not only get through this new year, but make it your best yet!
