Liberty

Wordsmith

Where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty. 2nd Corinthians 3:17.

If the LORD gives us liberty, where does oppression come from?

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Was Jesus speaking of a life where you go on continually sinning?

No! Of course not.

Sin itself is death.

But life, and life in abundance comes from heaven.

That means lack and oppression are from hell.

And right now, we are in a time I never thought I’d see, a time where freedom is said to be bad. How crazy can you get!

Here I am, blessed to be an American, living in the greatest nation on earth, where ‘Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness,’ is chiseled in our Declaration of Independence, but some of our own people think that’s wrong.

Oppression of thought, oppression of speech, oppression of the individual pursuit for that happiness, is in full effect. We don’t have laws oppressing us like this, but our own society tightens the chords, strangling liberty out of those who are not lock step with the agenda of socialism.

Pastors, censored. Teachers, censored. Students, censored. Parents, censored. Lives are RUINED over mere words and difference of opinion.

Yet it can get a whole lot worse…

When I was a child, I thought that type of tyranny only happened in places far away, places like China. I remember listening in awe about the Missionaries who risked their lives to smuggle Bibles there. I thought they were so brave, as were the Chinese who took those Bibles. I never thought I would hear about people losing their jobs for having Bibles HERE!

How is that pursuing happiness?

Watch what you read, watch what you say, watch how you think…

Sounds like the Soviet Union, or Communist China, doesn’t it?

Yet this is what’s happening in America, and if it doesn’t stop, oppression will eventually rule here.

This isn’t about politics, this is about liberty.

It’s great liberty to worship God how we please.

It’s great liberty to think and speak how we please.

It’s great liberty, to defend ourselves and our property.

It’s great liberty to not be owned by the government.

For everyone who wants the government to pay their way without lifting a finger to work for it, I’ve got news for you. If the government supports you, the government owns you.

Look at China. Not just China under the atrocities of Mao, but the China in real time. The people are the government’s property. It’s terrible to see.

And for all of you lukewarm Christians, who spend every day of your life walking on eggshells out of fear for offending man, I dare you to watch the video below, and ask yourself if that’s what you want for your children, and grandchildren.

WARNING!

The video posted contains graphic content and is not appropriate for children.

We must be aware of how sharp the claws of communism are, and how deeply they cut…

Again, this isn’t about politics, this is about human rights!

That video is a brief depiction of what being owned by the government looks like.

Did you see the brutality?

Did you hear the wails in that city?

Do you see their suffering?

Is that what you want here?

And if you think, ‘Oh, that’s terrible, but it’s far away,’ LOOK AROUND YOUR HOUSE! How many of your possessions were made in China?

I’ll bet even the clothes on your back were made in China. Possibly by one of the people in this video…

Feels a lot closer to home, doesn’t it?

Wuhan has a population of 11 million and they deserve more than just our sympathy, they deserve our prayers. We must pray for them! At the same time, we must pray what got them where they are, never comes here!

No, I’m not talking about the virus. I’m talking about communism!

We can never let our government have that kind of power over our lives, and whatever control we give them now, will only increase further down the line. Each generation after us will be more enslaved than the one before.

Socialism only gives the government MORE POWER!

If you are against authoritarian rule, say no to socialism.

If you are against police brutality, say no to socialism.

If you are against slavery, say no to socialism.

Americans must support personal liberty, even the liberties we disagree with. No one ever gains freedom, by taking another’s freedom away. You cannot clinch one fist for oppression, and the other for liberty. They do not go hand in hand.

You are either for liberty, or you are for tyranny.

You are either for God, or pledged to godlessness. There is no gray area here.

If the Spirit of the LORD is liberty, and you claim to follow him, how can you vote for socialism? How can you stomach enslaving yourself and future generations, to tyrannical government rule? If you believe that every good and perfect gift comes from the LORD, (James 1:17) why behave as though those gifts come from the government?

That’s idolatry!

Our country was founded on the belief that we were created, and our rights come from God. Willingly giving those rights away will be our nation’s end.

We can’t allow that to happen. Not just for the soldiers who died for our freedoms, but for the future generations. They deserve to enjoy what was already fought, bought and sacrificed for. They deserve liberty.

Prayer Warriors, saturate yourselves in the word of God, and pray this godless ideology of communism out of our land. Pray for Christians to gain courage, and rise up against that which would enslave them. Pray for every Communist (especially those owned by China) who are in leadership here to be exposed, and replaced by Godly people. Pray that the wicked will flee from our land!

I feel like our nation is hanging by a thread, and one pull is all it would take to drive us into a socialist nightmare. But no matter what, God is bigger, and if he wants me to have a life in abundance, anyone who wants the opposite is working for the enemy. Anyone who wants YOU to be oppressed is working for hell!

With God’s help, we can stop this oppression called socialism from enslaving us.

Unfortunately, instead of embracing God’s liberty, Christians are watering down the Bible, and calling wrong right and right wrong, just to appease the feelings of other mortals.

This is dangerous, and another form of tyranny.

Because if Christianity is expected to adhere to the standards of the godless, and praise sin, it’s no longer Christianity. It’s the religion of the worldly. The religion of celebrity. The religion of political correctness. The religion of fear.

Stop shaming Missionaries of the past, whose blood drenched their Bibles when they died for their faith, and at the very least, stand up for yours!

I’m not saying to be violent, or even mean, but stand up for your faith.

Do not let the insults and hatred of others weaken your resolve.

TRUST GOD and stand up for your rights!

Ruffle their feathers, hurt their feelings. Those feathers and those feelings are not worth losing your liberty over.

Read 2 Corinthians 3:17 one more time.

Does it say the Spirit of the LORD is outrage?

Does it say the Spirit of the Lord is political correctness?

Does it say the Spirit of the LORD is fear?

Now ask yourself, which Spirit do you follow?

What Spirit do you bow to?

If it’s not Liberty, what is it?

I’m willing to bet, it’s fear. The fear of man.

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25
