The Only Truth is God’s Truth

Wordsmith

I don’t like allowing what some celebrity said to irritate me. What was said though, was so bad, I can’t help it. I’ve got to vent. Even though the person who said it will probably never read this, I don’t care, it’s bursting within and I’m typing it.

In my lifetime, I’ve had the honor to meet some incredible people. Such as a psychologist I met through church, who worked with troubled youth. I bring this particular person up because it was through him that I learned the psychology behind ‘gang mentality.’ You see, most youths that get caught up in a gang do so because they’re starved for a family unit. They either come from fatherless homes or no family at all. They see security and acceptance in the counterfeit, so they latch on; pledging themselves against whatever ‘other’ the gang decides is the enemy. Most end up following the dark path of drug addiction, crime, and racism.

It’s a real problem.

However, it’s not a problem there’s no cure for.

There are amazing testimonies from people who’ve overcome this evil. The main way they did this was by coming to the family of God. They realized that God created ALL races, and to hurt one is to hurt Him.

In fact, I’m willing to proclaim that God’s love and the love of His creation is the cure for racism.

That is why the worst thing any Christian can do is ostracize someone falling down that dark path. They need supportive guidance back to God’s incredible love, so they can learn to love every race God created.

Self-righteousness is poison.

Condemnation is also toxic.

Sure, insults are easy to say. Anyone can sound off at the mouth, but does it help?

From what I’ve seen, smears and jeers only make an individual on the edge of the deep end become disgruntle and take the plunge.

We need real solutions.

Censorship isn’t one of them.

Neither is silence.

What was said today can’t be ignored.

Whenever I think of World War II, I think of valiant men and women fighting against some of the worst evil that the world has seen. I think of Pearl Harbor, D-Day, Bastogne, General Patton, 101st Airborne and the Women’s Army Corp.

When I think of the Allied Forces, I feel both a sense of pride and relief. Pride in such sacrifice and accomplishment and relief that so many were able to stand up against that monstrous Axis of evil.

When I think of Hitler, I think of dead bodies, to include innocent children, horrendous experimentations, and human remains used as ash trays, among other things…

When I think of the Axis Powers, I feel nauseous and disdain. Nauseous for the atrocities committed during WW2, and disdain for those who carried out those atrocities.

As a Christian, I know that death and destruction are the opposite for why Christ came, (John 10:10) but when I think of WW2, even with the honorable souls who fought against evil, death and destruction are the first things that come to mind.

What happened to the Jewish people was unimaginable. Such evil should NEVER be downplayed.

Because while we are supposed to love everyone and pray for our enemies, God is very clear on defining evil:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Isaiah 5:20

What Hitler did was evil.

What the Nazis did was evil.

Racism is evil.

Hitler was racist.

If our society gets this mixed up, we’re in a world of hurt.

Hatred is the exact opposite of God’s greatest commandments:

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40 NIV

To anyone who is on the fence about God, or just getting to know Him, please, do not associate Hitler or any other tyrant with our Lord and Savior.  Their actions go against everything Christ is.

And another thing, Emile Berliner invented the first microphone in 1827. Alexander Graham Bell bought it and made the first patent in 1876.

Hitler was born in 1889, so NO, he did not invent the microphone.

Don’t let yourselves be deceived by ANYTHING, but pray for those who are, so they can find peace in the only truth: GOD’S TRUTH!

More importantly, don’t your hearts be filled with hate.
