Announcements and Opinions

Who Should I Vote For?

Hillary Clinton has announced that she will be running for president of the United States. As a woman, I believe in liberty and equal opportunity. I am blessed to have been born in a Nation that is free and has a bill of rights to protect those freedoms and I want to ensure that America stays free. So I feel it is my duty as an American woman, to vote for…

A Big Announcement...

God’s covering is the reason why I have changed the focus of my writing. As anyone who has visited my website knows, I write my opinions, but I do not post them enough to be called a blogger. My focus as a writer is fictional novels; mostly romance strong, science fiction. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed writing and independently publishing Inspired by a Dream and The Falling, they only mention God briefly and I want to write fiction—especially science fiction—that has God as the center of the story, instead of on some distant sideline. When we first moved to Texas, I began to write a story that does that, and in 2014, I finished it.

Wait a minute; I thought the GOP hates women and black people!

Wait a minute; I thought the GOP hates women and black people!
Fact: the Republicans abolished slavery (look it up and you will find that Abraham Lincoln was indeed, a REPUBLICAN)
Fact: the first black female Republican won office yesterday. War on women? Ha! The Democrats cannot say that anymore without looking either dishonest, or extremely foolish!

Why I wrote Inspired by a Dream…

We were living in Maryland, far from our California home and my husband was gone away for training (a lot) while I raised our six month old baby at home. On one of the nights my husband was home, I had an insane dream that was so realistic I actually woke him up in the […]

Someone Who Soared Against Prejudice...

In honor of African American history month, I would like to share the real life story of an amazing man named Vivien Thomas, who I am personally grateful for even though I never met him, or could, since he passed away two years after I was born. I am grateful for this man because it […]

February is Heart Month

It’s that time of year again, when parents of heart warriors like me try to raise awareness of the most common birth defect there is; Congenital Heart Defects…   Yes, February 7th through the 14th is CHD awareness week.   Shouldn’t everyday be a day of awareness? I have watched my daughter nearly die so […]

Jesus is the reason for the season!

Yes, we have all heard about the war on Christmas, but why is it there? Is the word Christmas and all of the Christ centered songs of old about the holiday really THAT frightening to people, that I have to be afraid to say and sing them? Schools all across America are banning carols written […]

Offended? Join the Club!

As a woman, as a mom, as a military spouse, as a Christian, as an American, I get offended nearly every single day. And I wouldn’t want it any other way. Why you say? Why would I prefer being offended over having everyone else agree with me, or for everyone to be so scared of […]

Release Day!

Inspired by a Dream is here! This novel is quite special to me, since it is the first manuscript I ever completed. It is based off of one the most realistic dreams I have ever had, and once I began writing, the dreams continued, all the way until the end of the story, giving me […]
