Tucking my children into bed tonight, I held in tears for the twenty moms and dads who will never get to tuck in their little babies again…
What happened today in Connecticut was beyond unacceptable, it was horrific.
How anyone could be so ill as to take the lives of young children like that, is completely mind bending. I can only imagine how the parents are feeling and my heart just shatters for them.
Before anyone gets into politics, let’s just take a moment and pray for comfort for these grieving parents and families who will never see their loved ones again. For the law enforcement and emergency personal who were the first response to such a gruesome and nightmarish scene. We need to also pray for comfort, for the doctors and nurses who took care of the injured and their shock and possible undeserved guilt, for the two beautiful little lives that were lost at the hospital after this unthinkable and flat out wicked crime. The entire ordeal is just tragic, and whichever side of the second amendment fence you are on, we should just stay silent, at least for a day. Gut wrenching as it is, there is nothing any of us can do to bring those precious lives back. But what we can do is not turn on each other, especially over the loss of our own. I say our own because as an American, I think this tragedy hit home for all of us. Matter of fact, I’d be willing to bet the entire globe is shook up over the loss of lives so young.
“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” Psalms 31:24
All differences aside, we need to be strong for those grieving, and for each other right now.
