Praise is Life

Wordsmith

For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me. Psalm 66:17-20

Some say praise is warfare, I say praise is life.

Direct communication with God brings us closer to our creator. This is where we not only draw peace, but strength. Praise is a vein for which we are filled with His presence. Yet, we cannot reach this incredible well of life, without the earnest confession of our sins.

Just last night, I laid a huge data dump of confession at the foot of the cross.

Repentance is necessary to receive God’s righteousness, His presence, His grace.

What joy for those you choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What festivities await us inside your holy Temple. You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior, You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. Psalm 65:4-5

God’s presence within makes us His Temple.

In the place of constant repentance and praise, we can become conduits of light, spreading life, love, and beauty to everyone and everything around us. This incredible place isn’t a building, it’s us! God’s chosen.

No matter where you are, bring life to it by praising Him today!
