My Querying Journey

Fellow writers, you know the drill. You’ve spent months, sometimes years pouring a story out from your heart onto paper. It takes even longer perfecting and editing until you finally reach, “the end.” In order to introduce the characters you’ve fallen in love with to readers, you must turn that manuscript into an actual book.

This is where I start sweating.

Merciless Merchants

When I was a little girl, the customer was always right. Now it seems consumers have been placed at the mercy of merchants. Prices skyrocket. Quality dwindles. My own disgruntled opinion on America’s current marketplace aside, there’s a much bigger reason why I’m writing this. The Lord has given me insight that He wants me to share. I share it, not for any other reason than to serve Him.

People will oppress each other—man against man, neighbor against neighbor. Young people will insult their elders, and vulgar people will sneer at the honorable. Isaiah 3:5 NLT

Sound familiar, America?

How many people within your populace desire the ruin of their neighbors? I’m going to guess the answer is most.

Yes, MOST of Americans would enjoy seeing those they disagree with completely and utterly destroyed.

It really doesn’t get more oppressive than that.

Who needs a tyrannical dictator, when the person living next door is just as eager to ruin you?!

From religion to identity, politics rules us all.

Let’s face it; to seek someone’s ruin is to hate them.

How will you survive such hatred, America?

Those who worship differently, those who vote differently, to those who look differently all have to worry about their oppressors taking vengeance on them just for being different.

Is that freedom?

I don’t think it is.

A societal road paved with eggshells can’t last.

So where does this road lead?
