for your father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! Matthew 6:8 NLT
When I was a little girl, the customer was always right. Now it seems consumers have been placed at the mercy of merchants. Prices skyrocket. Quality dwindles. My own disgruntled opinion on America’s current marketplace aside, there’s a much bigger reason why I’m writing this. The Lord has given me insight that He wants me to share. I share it, not for any other reason than to serve Him.
It’s January 2024, an election year.
Everything that is happening on the Texas border is intense to say the very least. However, what God keeps giving me is, “Election year.” We live in a time of turbulence and division. There are those put in high places that choose politics over profit. Days ago, God revealed to me that the stand at the Texas border might be used for political virtue signaling, not by the federal government, but by corporations. If they choose to go this route, there will be large box store closures and many empty shelves in the state of Texas. Yet, God has assured me that the local food supply in Texas will not be harmed. What will be hindered are things imported into the state. God wants me to share this with you, not so you become fearful and panic buy, but so you can turn to Him in that deep, personal relationship all Christians should seek out. God will guide you on what to buy and when. He knows our needs before we ask, (Matthew 6:8) so ask Him!
I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me if I could not be found. Isaiah 45:19 NLT
This isn’t just for those who live in Texas, either. Every believer should make sure to spend the time needed in prayer and in the Word, to reach intimacy with God. As I said before, these times are turbulent. We need our loving Father to take us by the hands and guide us through every detail of our lives.
The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:23-24 NLT
As for Texas… If merchants decide to be political activists against the Lone Star State, don’t be discouraged. God has revealed that those merciless merchants will be replaced. Where one large ship sinks in the state of Texas, many smaller ships will sail. Things will be even better. Choice. Quality. Local economies will thrive. God wants me to share this, not just so you can be sure to have everything you need for the transitional period, but so that you will NOT be afraid.
We live in a land where neighbor turns against neighbor and politics consume almost all, but take heart. If merchants, who are supposed to offer goods and services for profit, instead choose to withhold those goods and services from Texas as punishment, they will sink.
Again, I cannot stress enough that this all has to do with an election year. I know there’s a lot of talk about a civil war right now. I have not received anything from the Lord on that. In fact, I feel really good in my spirit about 2024. I can’t explain it, but I feel like God has incredible things in store. I just can’t image that being the case if a civil war was looming. Such violence and destruction would devastate our country. Back to my personal opinion here, but I don’t think God’s going allow that to happen. ‘Civil war,’ can trend social media all day everyday and Hollywood can make all the movies they want about it, but at the end of the day, God is in control. We just need to put our trust in him. Remember:
“Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power. He controls the course of world events: he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars. Daniel 2:20-21 NLT
Do not fear.
He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. Acts 17:25 NLT
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 NIV
Trust God and pray without ceasing, (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17) and don’t let trends on the internet and doom scrolling steal your joy.
Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!” Nehemiah 8:10 NLT
